Everesting at Uetliberg3

X Uetli

Community Everesting – Flexible and Motivating

For this edition of Community Everesting, we are introducing flexible start options based on your elevation and distance goals. Whether you aim for a full Everesting, a half, a quarter, or just a few loops, you can start whenever it suits you.

Additionally, following the great feedback from Witiker Backyard Ultra meets X Uetli, we are incorporating a Backyard Ultra-style format: one loop every hour. This way, we start together each hour, making it easier to motivate and support each other. If you follow this format, a full Everesting will be completed in 25 hours—but of course, you are free to continue without breaks or adjust your pace as you prefer.

All the details are available in the sections below!

Friday 11 april 2025 at 20.00

15 minutes before the start, at 19:45

Tramhaltestelle Albisgütli

1x, +-367 m, 4.4 km
7x, ¼ Everesting, +-2569 m, 26 km
10x, +-3670 m, 44 km, Marathon
13x, ½ Everesting, +-4771 m, 57 km
25x, Everesting, +-9175 m, 110 km

Start and finish at the fountain at the Albisgütli tram stop. The ascent follows Denzlerweg, while the descent is via Laternenweg.
Usually, for an official Everesting, the ascent and descent must follow the same path. However, for safety reasons—since descending Denzlerweg repeatedly can become hazardous—we received special approval from Everesting.cc to allow a loop format for this Community Everesting.

After the great success of the Witiker Backyard Ultra meets X Uetli event in October, we’ve decided to apply this format to our Community Everesting.
One loop per hour—this way, everyone starts together at the beginning of each hour, creating an extra motivation boost and a true community experience.
A full Everesting (25 loops) will be completed in 25 hours.
Of course, this format is optional—you are free to run at your own pace, take longer breaks, or continue non-stop.

For those who do not want to attempt a full Everesting, you are welcome to start on Saturday morning or at any time that suits you. Whether you aim for a half Everesting, a quarter, or just a few loops, you can join whenever it works best for you. This is a community event, and everyone is free to participate in a way that fits their personal challenge!

Parking: Available near the base camp.
Facilities: Public toilet, drinking fountain, Selecta vending machine (snacks) and Lavazza vending machine (coffee).
Three fountains are available along the route.

Bring your own supplies—everyone is responsible for their own nutrition and hydration.
We will likely organize a hot meal or place a group order for pizza or other food. Further details will follow.

Uetliberg summit: Self-service bar.
Engematt Tennisclub Restaurant (near Albisgütli base camp).

As with all X Uetli events, there are no special rules.
This is not a competition, but a personal challenge.
No official start list, no time limit — you can stop whenever you want.
If you want your effort to count on Everesting.cc, you must always follow the same route for ascent and descent.
To officially register your Everesting, upload your activity to Strava and then register with Everesting.cc.

After completing your challenge, send your result (Strava link + your full name) to: hello@x-uetli.ch
